Scroll to the bottom of the page to listen to the podcast.Movement is about more than doing just one type of activity or exercise.  The goal is to use all four types of exercise: Endurance, Strength, Balance, and Flexibility.
Your body needs regular movement to keep your bones, muscles, and joints working well so you can move with ease and stay strong and flexible throughout your life. Keeping your body “tuned up” makes everyday activities like walking up stairs, carrying groceries, and doing chores easier and less prone to injury.
Endurance is important to overall fitness. Jog or take a brisk walk three or more times per week for 20 minutes or more.
Top 14 Physical Benefits of Regular Movement: Greater ease and increased range of motion Increased balance Increased strength and flexibility Improved muscle tone and coordination Joint resiliency Increased cardiovascular conditioning Enhanced athletic performance Improved circulation Prevention of injuries Greater longevity Pain relief (general) Relief of back and neck pain Respiratory issues diminish Reduced stressFlexibility and Balance are two more keys to fitness.
Do resistance training that involves all your major muscle groups two or more times per week.
